Who is Bolt On Ops for?

Trade and service businesses with 1 to 20 staff. Plumbers, electricians, cleaners, landscapers, builders and similar owner-operated businesses who are running on spreadsheets, paper, or generic software that does not fit their workflow.

How much does a project cost?

Accepted Answer

Quick Builds (websites, simple automations, single-purpose tools) start at $1,500 and cap at $3,500. Custom Builds (client portals, quoting tools, job management) range from $3,500 to $8,000. Growth Retainers are $500 to $2,000 per month. Every quote is fixed-price before work begins, so there are no surprises at the end.

How long does a build take?

Quick Builds deliver in 10 to 20 hours of work, usually inside two weeks. Custom Builds run 30 to 60 hours, typically four to six weeks. We agree on a delivery date in writing before starting, and we hold to it.

Do I need to know anything about tech to work with you?

Accepted Answer

No. The whole point is that you run the business and we handle the tech. We talk about what your day looks like, where the bottlenecks are, and what a better version would feel like. You never need to understand the code or the stack.

Can you work with my existing website or systems?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We regularly bolt new capability onto existing WordPress sites, Xero, ServiceM8, simPRO, Google Workspace and other tools already in use. If there is a way to connect something, we will find it.

What happens after the build is finished?

You own everything. The website, the automations, the code, the accounts. We offer optional Growth Retainers for maintenance and ongoing iteration, but there is no lock-in. If you want to manage it yourself or hand it to someone else, you can.

Where are you based? Do you work with businesses outside Victoria?

Based in the Macedon Ranges, working across regional Victoria and Melbourne. We also work remotely with service businesses anywhere in Australia. Most discovery and project work happens by phone and video call.
