"You missed my bin." Now he can prove otherwise.
Anthony Kidd runs Howyabin Waste Management on a Macedon Ranges council contract. Hundreds of bins across ten towns, through country where the phone signal drops out. When a bin was called in as missed, he had nothing but memory to push back with. I built him the proof.
A contractor who couldn't prove a single bin was serviced.
Every part of the operation ran on memory, spreadsheets and hope. Four problems, one root cause: no record made at the moment of service.
Proof of service that captures itself, signal or no signal.
One screen, driven not tapped. The route maps every bin, the current stop surfaces its bin types, and a service is logged with proof captured underneath: time, GPS and a photo, without stopping to fill anything in. The green bar counts the run down; the status line shows signal state, so Anthony knows it is all still recording through the dead zones.
Run Mode proof of service
The iOS app captures proof as the run is driven: timestamped, geotagged and tamper-evident, without a tap per bin.
Works in the dead zones
Offline-first by design. Everything queues through the Macedon Ranges blackspots and syncs when coverage returns.
One live bin map
A pin-drop admin dashboard turns ten town spreadsheets into a single live register of what got done today.
Structured field capture
Contamination, blocked access, a damaged bin: photo, category, location and chain of custody, recorded the moment it is seen.
Seven-year, PROV-aligned
Photo and evidence retention matched to what a council can ask of its contractor.
Phone and SMS sign-in
No passwords, no IT. Drivers sign in with a phone number and a one-time SMS code.

When the council rings, this is what comes back.
Every service produces a record like this one. Captured hands-free on the truck, held on the device through the dead zones, synced the moment coverage returns. Not a note someone typed later. A record made at the kerb.
The arguments stopped.
"Someone rings the council and says we missed their bin. I used to argue from memory. Now I send the photo with the time and the GPS on it. That is usually the end of it."
Anthony licences the running app on a monthly subscription. Hosting, monitoring and support continue after handover. He owns his data and exports it anytime. Bolt On Ops retains the source, the productised-service model behind every build.
