TERMS

The deal, in plain English.

Short version: I build tech for trades businesses and run it for you as a service. You pay for what you agreed to, you can cancel a subscription any time, and I keep it working. The longer version is below.

Who I am

This website and the services on it are run by Stribley Ventures Pty Ltd ta Bolt On Ops (ABN 51 697 053 633), a one-operator business based in the Macedon Ranges, Victoria, Australia. When this page says "I" or "me", that is the business; "you" is the person or business engaging me. You can reach me any time at hello@boltonops.com.au.

What these terms cover

They cover using this website and engaging me for any of my services: websites, automations, custom tools, and the Never Miss a Call phone-answering service. When you buy a subscription, request a build, or accept a quote, you are agreeing to these terms. If we sign a separate written agreement for a project, that agreement wins where it differs from this page.

What I provide

I build software and set it up to run for your business. This is a productised service, not a code hand-over:

  • You get a working application, hosted and maintained, that does the job we agreed on.
  • I keep ownership of the underlying source code and reuse it across clients. You get a licence to run your configured version of it for as long as your subscription or agreement is live.
  • If you ever want to own the source outright, that is available as a separate buy-out. Just ask.

Quotes, prices and GST

Prices are in Australian dollars. Where a price is shown as "plus GST", 10% GST is added on top; where it is shown as "inc GST", it already includes it. A quote for project work is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise. Project work is usually invoiced with a deposit up front and the balance on delivery, as set out in that quote.

Subscriptions, billing and renewals

Subscription services (like Never Miss a Call) are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, my payment processor. Your card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored by me. Each month renews automatically until you cancel. If a payment fails, I will let you know and give you a chance to update your card before the service pauses.

Cancelling

Subscriptions are month to month with no lock-in. You can cancel any time from your account billing page, and you will not be charged again after the current month. I do not do pro-rata refunds for a partial month unless a specific guarantee below applies, but you keep the service through to the end of the month you have paid for.

The guarantees

Where I make a specific promise, I stand behind it. For Never Miss a Call: if the service does not catch you a job in your first 30 days, that month is refunded in full. Any other guarantee I state on a product or in a quote applies on its own terms. Guarantees are honoured on request to hello@boltonops.com.au.

Your side of it

  • Give me accurate information so I can set things up correctly.
  • Use the service lawfully, and don't use it to send spam or anything illegal.
  • Your business data and the content you put into a tool stay yours. Keep your logins secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • For a phone service, you are responsible for the diversion on your own carrier plan and for telling your callers what they need to know.

The software this runs on

My services run on trusted third-party platforms, including Stripe for payments, Twilio for calls and messages, and Supabase for the application data. Each of those runs under its own terms. I aim for the service to be available around the clock, but no online service is up 100% of the time, and I can't promise uninterrupted or error-free running.

Liability

I run a lean, careful operation, but I provide the service "as is" and can't be liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for a missed call or message caused by a carrier, a third-party platform, or something outside my reasonable control. Where I am liable, my liability is limited to what you paid me in the previous three months. None of this limits or excludes the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded; where those apply, they stand alongside these terms.

Ending an engagement

You can stop a subscription any time as above. I may suspend or end a service if an account is used unlawfully, if payment stays unpaid after a fair chance to fix it, or if I stop offering that product. If I ever wind the business down, I will give you reasonable notice and a 30-day window to take a copy of your data and arrange the source of anything you rely on.

Changes to these terms

I may update this page as the services change. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes to a subscription will be flagged to you before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any dispute is dealt with in the courts of that state.
